And I noticed that my fan clutch has completely locked up...... Lovely.
Its still cooling, so I can leave it till my next paycheck. But until then, my truck is gonna sound so annoying. Ugh, I guess this is what I get for putting off repairs. I knew this was coming, its been locking up at idle but unlocking above 1500rpm, now it wont unlock at all

Ah, the exact opposite of the Mercedes I had, which had a fan clutch that never locked, even when it should.
The current clutch on the Duramax locks at idle for some reason, and occasionally it will unlock, odd considering the transmission strategy is to keep the revs as constant as possible for a given throttle position. This could be why it doesn’t heat the coolant above 185F. We’ll see if it finally dies on me.
